Veteran-Owned Coin Design
From military units and veteran organizations to law enforcement, fire departments, companies, memorials, and special events, Semper Fi Design turns your story into a custom challenge coin worthy of being carried, presented, and remembered.
A challenge coin marks something worth remembering. We design for the people and organizations who hand them out.
You bring the story. We handle the design and the production details that decide whether a coin looks professional or homemade.
Every choice below changes both the look and the cost. We walk you through the trade-offs before anything goes to production.
Nothing goes to production until you have approved exactly what you are getting.
The unit, the milestone, the people. What the coin needs to mean.
We develop the first design direction for both faces of the coin.
You review a proof showing artwork, colors, finish, and size.
We revise until the design is right. No production before approval.
Manufacturing begins against approved, production-ready files.
Coins are checked against the approved proof, then delivered.
Coin pricing has two parts: the design work, and the production run. Production depends on quantity, size, finish, shape, and packaging — which is why the coin itself is always quoted.
Artwork Only
$250 – $750
Production-ready challenge coin artwork you can take to any manufacturer.
You handle manufacturing, proofing, and delivery.
Most Common
$500 setup plus production, quoted by specification
We design the coin, coordinate manufacturing, review proofs, and see it through to finished coins in your hands.
Best for most units and organizations — you get coins, not a file.
Complex Artwork
$750 – $1,500 plus production, quoted by specification
For coins that need original artwork drawn from scratch rather than adapted from an existing logo — illustrated scenes, sculpted relief, and hand-rendered heraldry.
You likely need this tier if: you have no usable logo file, you are working from a sketch or a photograph, the design tells a story rather than displaying a mark, or the coin is a memorial or commemorative piece. Quoted after we see the concept.
Custom coin projects include a one-time design and setup component plus production pricing based on quantity and specifications. Larger runs lower the per-coin cost. Request a quote for exact pricing.
Plenty of coin manufacturers advertise free design. What you usually get is a template with your logo dropped into it, drawn by someone who has never worn the uniform and will not answer the phone when the proof comes back wrong.
Design starts at $250. The coins themselves are quoted by specification, because quantity, size, finish, shape, and packaging all move the price, and mold or die setup is a fixed cost spread across the run. Larger quantities lower the per-coin cost significantly.
Minimums are set by the manufacturer and depend on the coin specification. We confirm the minimum for your design before you commit to anything.
Design typically takes one to two weeks depending on revisions. Production time depends on the manufacturer, specification, and quantity, and is confirmed in your quote before production starts.
Yes. On completion the coin artwork is yours, including production-ready files you can take to any manufacturer for future runs.
Yes. A napkin sketch, a unit patch, or an existing logo is a perfectly normal starting point. We handle cleanup and adapt it to work at coin size and in metal.
Yes — that is the Design-Only package. You get production-ready files and take them wherever you like.
Yes. Once a coin has been produced, reorders are straightforward and usually cheaper, since the mold or die already exists.
We talk through the purpose, quantity, and specification, then send written pricing covering both design and production. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Logos, brand identity, print collateral, packaging, and campaign creative — the wider design work behind the coin.
Branded apparel and merchandise to pair with your coin, without holding bulk inventory.
Branding, print, packaging, and merchandise projects we have designed and delivered.
Send us the unit, the milestone, or the moment. We will come back with a direction, a specification, and written pricing for design and production.
